Immigration and Relocation Support
Helping you to get here
All University of Auckland staff working in New Zealand, who are not New Zealand citizens/resident visa holders or Australian citizens/current permanent resident visa holders, must have the correct visa. The process can be lengthy, and requires particular care to ensure applications are submitted correctly and processed in a timely way.
To make the immigration process as easy as possible for our applicants, the University has an in-house immigration manager who is licensed by the New Zealand Immigration Advisers Authority to provide advice and support to staff as you navigate the visa and immigration process together. While there is no charge for this professional service, the visa application fees will remain your responsibility.
Ann-Maree Duxfield is extremely well-experienced and an expert on the intricacies of immigration law in New Zealand, having helped over 3,000 staff and their families secure the right to work and remain in New Zealand. An experienced University staff member, Ann-Maree deftly navigates both INZ and university requirements to ensure you are well prepared for every step in the process from accepting a position to settling in Auckland.
If you are considering a position at the University of Auckland but are unsure about your eligibility to work in New Zealand, please flag this in your application.
