We have an exciting opportunity for  2 x Security Officers to join the University of Auckland Security Services team on a permanent basis. This position is full time, working on a five-week 24/7 rotating roster with a mix of morning, afternoon, and night shifts.

You will be working within a motivated team of Security Officers who provide a range of essential services to staff, students, VIP’s and other visitors as well protecting the University of Auckland’s assets and property.

Working in a team environment, you will have a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and a strong desire to make a positive impact within our team, and the University community. You must be a self-starter with motivation to professionally develop yourself. Great communication skills are essential for this position.

Previous security experience is ideal, but not essential.

Preferred Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

  • Hold or able to obtain a Certificate of Approval (Green) for the Security Industry or willing to undertake training to obtain it
  • Ideally you hold a Level 2 Certificate in Security (NZQA recognised)
  • Control Room experience and/or a willingness to undertake Control Room Operator training
  • You must be of good health and have a high level of physical fitness
  • A desire to serve a diverse community
  • High levels of integrity
  • Great communication skills
  • Self-motivation with strong work ethic
  • The successful applicant will need to be able to obtain a NZ Police clearance and hold or apply for a NZ Drivers Licence
